Healthcare is changing, and so too is mental health care. Now, through the use of secure video-conferencing technology, mental health care providers and clients can still engage virtual therapy without being in the same physical location. Virtual therapy can be helpful in increasing access to care by removing distance, transportation, or mobility barriers for clients. For clients who have great working relationships with providers, it can help with continuity of care in the case of within-state relocation or need for extended vacation. Though virtual therapy has its value and is beneficial for many clients, it isn’t appropriate for everyone or every problem or concern. If you’re interested in seeing if virtual therapy is right for you, let’s talk. Use the contact form, shoot me an email, or give me a call so we can schedule a time to discuss.
